Please be aware that any treatments or therapies carried out on these events are for relaxation purposes and as an aid to the relief of stress and tension only; we do not claim to heal or relieve any injuries, illnesses or conditions, although sometimes an improvement may be felt or experienced. You, the client (or the client's legal guardian), are advised to seek experienced medical advice from your G.P. or dentist (in the case of an animal advice should be sought from your vet). The client should continue to take (or give) prescribed medication and follow any advice given by their G.P., dentist or vet. Eye-Opening Events its representatives, associates and insurance provider accept no responsibility for any adverse effects following any session of therapy or treatment as you have sought the services provided yourself and you therefore assume full responsibility for your decision. In proceeding with a therapy or treatment you are agreeing with the contents of this disclaimer.

 

Investigations and Ghosthunts:
Eye-Opening Events (hereafter known as EE), hereby state that they take no responsibility for members of the public who take part in any investigations, paid or unpaid. Anyone taking part in said investigations or ghosthunts enters the site or premises entirely at their own risk and they take full responsibility for the safety of themselves and their property. EE, their founders or representatives, the property/venue owners or any associated insurance providers will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage of any type to any person and/or their property that may occur whilst they are on said premises or for any costs or claims resulting thereof. 
Let it be understood that any photographs, footage and reports will have to be cleared by EE, and/or the property owners, before publication in any form. Those that enter any grounds, property or building must respect said grounds, property or building and any contents; and will not damage, destruct, deface or otherwise cause harm or loss to any of the grounds, property or building and said contents. Let it be understood that if anyone is found to have caused any of these damages they will be held personally liable without any claims being made against EE, its representatives, or its insurance providers. Said offenders may, in certain circumstances, be banned from attending future investigations/ ghosthunts.

Personal Safety:
Certain things may occur during an investigation that may be alarming, especially to those of a nervous disposition or who have health issues. These things can include noises, changes in temperature, items moving, mists, apparitions, shadows, feelings, trance, transfiguration, etc. (Please ask one of our trained staff for explanations of any of these). Because of this, EE and its insurance providers require that all attendees be in sound health and have no history of heart disease, high blood pressure or other associated illnesses that may be detrimental to their taking part in any investigation It is required that attendees of any of the above events take this as formal notice that they have been informed by EE and its representatives of the things that may occur during an investigation. They also hereby agree that EE and its associated members, the venue owner or any associated insurance providers will not be held responsible for any breakages, accident or other happening to individual persons or their personal property as a result of these occurrences during the course of said investigation. Attendees must further agree that they are bound by EE’s code of conduct and confidentiality clause and the venue owner’s rules and regulations pertaining to the investigation.

All attendees will be asked to sign a disclaimer before taking part in any investigation or ghosthunt.
